What began as a Christmas cake gag gift for a fellow Postal Worker, turned into a budding new career for Gloria. Glory-Be Cakes began in October 1990, when a letter carrier hung up her mail bag in exchange for an icing bag.
Taking her mother's cake recipes and her husband's family icing recipe, and adding her self-taught decorating artistry, Rick & Gloria Klemencic started a home-based business.

The combination of a light, moist cake, frosted with a light, whipped buttercream that is not too sweet is the empty canvas on which she creates her artistry.  'Celebrations of Life' come alive, as she creates her magic with an overhead projector, figure-piping,a pallet

knife, an air brush, and inspirational music.
Husband Rick bakes, makes icing, and provides computer graphics and lettering to finish off each masterpiece.

Together, this "Dream Team' has made & decorated over 30,000 cakes in 17+ years.
The cakes speak for themselves. Visit our Gallery and enjoy just a sampling of our work - it's "candy to the eyes".

As mentored by renowned cake artists Frances Kuyper and Roland Winbeckler, Glory-Be Cakes can be seen in MailBox News Magazine, where they have graced the pages for 17 years.
